Finally the Diamond Star has returned to the Aviation Adventures rental fleet.  This 2008 DA-40 is equipped with the Garmin G1000, including an integrated GFC700 auto pilot and flight director.  It is your choice to use it, or fly the plane by hand and feel the stick and responsiveness of this modern composite aircaft.  The three bladed MT composite propeller keeps this noise level down.  The extended baggage compartment reaches all the way into the tail section to facilitate your skis.  The visibility from the cockpit is like being in an IMAX theater, and the ADS-B in and out displays traffic and weather on the big MFD screen.  If you have not flown the slick looking, but very easy to fly Diamond aircraft yet, you should consider it to try something new.  The airplane is an excellent cross country aircraft but is also perfectly equipped for instrument training.  And by the way, being comfortable with interior layout of the DA-40 and its flying characteristics, makes for a smooth transition into the multi-engine version, DA-42, for your next challenge.
